The next day Sam took me to visit Portland and the Pack. At first I was hesitant because this relationship was moving too fast. But he promised that he would only show me around Portland and his Pack area, without introducing me to his Pack members.

I still don't understand what Alpha really is, but it looks like Sam is the leader of the Pack. He picked me up early in the morning around eight, even though it was almost a three hour drive from Portland to Seattle.

The long trip felt short when I was with Sam. We arrived in Portland at about eleven o'clock in the afternoon and then we immediately had lunch at a grilled ribs restaurant for half an hour and then continued our journey around the small town, as promised.
