Is she following me?

Eva ate the food before her,"Its so delicious " she said finishing the chicken noodle soup in minutes.

"Thank you Zaheer" she said as she stood up and placed the plate in the sink.

"Are you ready?" Zaheer asked her from a corner in the kitchen.

"I haven't taken a shower though but I don't want to waste your time being that you are a very busy person" She said to Zaheer.

"Don't worry about  that, you can do that when you get home. Just go change into one of the clothes I got you last night" Zaheer said and Eva sighed before obeying him..

On the road.....

"Please do remember to give me Kyle's number when I have a phone!" Eva said with pleading eyes and Zaheer nodded

Reaching her house, Eva walked in and her family members all had their eyes on her. Eva's parents peaked through the curtain to have a second look on the type of car that dropped their daughter off.

"Eva, you know we just moved into this foreign country only two years ago. You really don't know or trust anyone apart from your old friend Dana Ling. Consider that we are still new in City A!" Her mother Kelly Watson said to her.

"Mum, I know that." Eva said

"Then why are you acting like we are still in the States, trusting people and entering their cars. We are still trying to get used to living in a foreign country Eva!!"

"Mum, that guy is just a....." Eva didn't really know what to call Zaheer. A friend? Or a freaking stranger who helped her?.

"A what Eva?!!If we still had money, it would have been better, people would have noticed us and we would have gotten used to the system well by now" Kelly Watson continued

"Mum, I understand because of the lack of money we were sorta cut out from the society. But I can at least make a few other friends?" Eva asked

Kelly Watson sighed..

"You can but please don't go around trusting people the way Eve did"

Eve who was sitting on the  couch rolled her eyes as she remembered what happened between her and a guy, Tom Drex two years ago when they newly relocated to City A.

"OK mum I have heard you.." Eva said as she was about walking away when she remembered something.

She ran to where the family phone was and searched through the messages and saw an alert from her Father's bank. She smiled knowing that Zaheer and Kyle fulfilled their own side of the agreement even though she didn't have anything intimate with Kyle.

"Mum? Dad? Have you guys seen the new messages?" Eva asked beaming with joy as she wanted to surprise her family.

"Nobody has touched that phone since you left last night. We were to busy being  worried why you didn't come home yesterday" Eva's brother, Dalton said.

"Well you better check the messages" Eva said smiling and her mother was wondering what will make her this happy. Kelly quickly grabbed the phone and went to the messages application. And her eyes was glued to the screen before she could form words and ask Eva what was going on.

"That guy you saw drop me off did it!" Eva said and her mother's smile dropped

"Mum, he didn't take anything from me. He only heard our story and decided to help!" she said.

"If you say so" Her mother said before the smile returned to her face.

Eva's father was watching all of these things happening but he was too sick to talk, he only glared at his wife with a suspicious look on his face.

"Joe, Eva is responsible. Trust her a little" Kelly said to her husband.

"But Eva are you sure this guy doesn't want anything from you? Thirty four million is quite an amount to send to someone just like that". Her mother said to her

"He doesn't want anything from me! What can I offer anyways!" Eva said as she walked into the room and went straight to the bathroom.

She came out few minutes later and was heading to the kitchen when her mother called her.

"Yes mum"

"Eva, you need to go the City F to meet Mrs Ella. Remember she offered to give you a job before she left City A."

"I remember. But I don't want to start spending this money unnecessarily!" Eva said

"Don't worry about that. Its just to prepare the things you need to get there. I'll handle every other thing myself. Planning to open a restaurant for the mean time, the money will be enough to get our family out of this dump and make Drew continue high school" Kelly said and Eva thought about it for a while before agreeing to it.

After all, the cost of travelling to City F wasn't too much. Eva thought.

Two days past and Eva had prepared her flight necessities. It was time for Eva to go, she knew that before she even thinks of visiting her family in City A, her father will be long gone by then. So she made her father practically the happiest man on earth before she will leave for City F.

In the airport, her entire family bid her goodbye as they saw her walk into the plane. Her father who was on a wheelchair, couldn't hold his emotions as tears ran down from his eyes.

Arriving in City F airport,

Eva sighted Mrs Ella Trent. A slender lady in her early thirties. With the prettiest green eyes and long black silky hair.  Mrs Trent sighted Eva too and walked towards her.

"Heyy, Eva you are finally here. I have missed seeing your pretty face back then in City A when you guys newly came." Mrs Trent said

Two years ago when Eva's family came to City A, their neighbor was Mrs Trent. She was the sweetest neighbor. And her niece was Dana Ling, Eva's former best friend. Mrs Trent offered to give Eva a legit job after hearing about what happened to their family but she had to move away to City F.

"Thanks for the compliment Mrs Trent but how did you know I'll be here, my mother has already given me your address to come meet you in your house!" Eva said

"Your mum already called and told me you were coming. So I just decided to come pick you up myself" Mrs Trent said smiling showing her two sided dimples.

"Ohhh" Eva said

"Let's go" Mrs Trent said before helping Eva with her few things and headed to Trent's car.

On their way home, Eva had to admit to Mrs Tent

"Mrs Trent, your car is so nice" Eva said as they  were about to pass through the estates gates with " Chen's residence " boldly written on the gates. Wait.... Chen? Like Kyle Chen?... Eva was lost in thoughts that she didn't even realize when her finger slid on the door handle  and she fell right out of the car.

Mrs Trent quickly stopped her driver and went to check on Eva.

"Are you okay Eva?" the woman asked.

Eva finally helped herself to her knees and her eyes sighted a black Porsche and she stood up to her feet despite her head bleeding.

The black Porsche stopped at the gate because Mrs Trent's car was blocking the gate. A man in deep blue coloured suit came out of the Porsche and told Mrs Trent to inform her driver to move her car.

But  Eva's eyes caught someone in the car, though the person wearing a mask, she felt she knew the person.

Mrs Trent helped Eva to the car and they drove off..

Getting to Mrs Trent's house, her maid showed Eva to her room and Eva threw herself on the bed and Mrs Trent came in, in a few seconds to treat her wound.

"Dinner will be ready in a few minutes" Mrs Trent said before leaving

Eva couldn't stop thinking about the person she saw earlier on. Who was that guy?
