I was so happy to be able to hold my child in my arms that I couldn't help but smile. I was initially concerned that I might damage him while holding him, but after a while, even though it had only been for a short while, I felt as if I thought I have been doing that for a while now. I felt so connected to him while doing all of this that it felt good to be able to, and the burping part was weird but great at the same time. I once again felt afraid when Selena approached us carrying his bottle, but it was really simple to do. We put him in the crib while Selena went to sleep on the bed since I could sense she was tired and needed to unwind before the battle.
