Tailing Gone Wrong

Standing under the abandoned bridge, I carefully examined the intricate designs on the box containing the stone that Norman had left moments ago. My mind was filled with curiosity and a hint of trepidation.

Turning around, my heart skipped a beat when I saw Adam standing not too far away, a stern expression etched on his face. "Adam, what are you doing here?" I asked, trying to mask the unease in my voice.
