Jessie cleaned up their dinner dishes and put them on the bottom empty shelf of thecart. She lifted the lids on the four smaller dishes to identify the desserts when shepulled them out and set them on top. She knew a lot of the Species weren’t fond ofchocolate and ignored the fudge cake to study the other dishes. One was a mixed-fruitconcoction piled on what appeared to be angel food cake. Justice read the note Jessie had left on the bed. Justice yawned and glanced at the clock. “It’s after three.”“I’m ready to call it a night.” Tiger stretched on the couch. “That was a good actionfilm.”“Thanks for staying with me.”“Not a problem. Justice grimly adjusted his tie for the hundredth time as he glanced at his securityteam. Humans stared at them as they entered the hospital lobby but it wasn’t unusual.Six large Species males, all dressed in black uniforms but one who was a nice businesssuit, was bound to draw a lot of attention.
