Dr. Thorp said I was well enough to leave the hospital and go to the packhouse so I could eat with everyone else. They happen to be on the same grounds, walking distance from each other. The packhouse, that’s a laugh. The place is huge. More like a mansion on steroids. They told me they would give me a tour after we talked more. I was led to a large dining room, Well, more like a school cafeteria. There were six person tables three long and four wide. There was a buffet set up along the far wall. There was burger, fries, mac and cheese, potato salad, pulled pork, Cole slaw, baked beans and so many veggies I didn’t even bother counting. Jesse stayed by my side and led me through the line with the others.
