Displaced In The Woods

**Keira's POV**

We ran into the woods without knowing where we were headed. It's the break of dawn and no one has rested. And that was because we didn't have the time to, especially when we were chased by some rogues who didn't relent in their pursuit of us.

After running for hours, the seer advised everyone to take a break underneath a tree.

Everyone complied, including me.

I looked in the direction of the surviving soldiers. Some were bleeding profusely on the arm. Good thing there's a healer among us who helped patch them up.

I was on the lookout since I was the only one who could sense them. Fortunately, as of the moment, I didn't perceive them around. I prayed in the silence of my heart for them not to show up.

It was morning already and everyone was pretty exhausted. The soldiers are all injured. I'm uncertain if they can hold up another attack. I, on the other hand, sustained a cut on my arm which has healed pretty nicely.
