Elena's Refusal

***Elena's POV***

Knowing I had been caught, I decided to take the blame. Matter of fact, Amanda had always reminded me that I might get caught, but even if I was caught, I had nothing to fear since Arthur would surely come to the rescue.

I also believed he would, since he had promised to come to my rescue when I needed him to. With this in mind, I wasn't scared of the fact that I had been caught by them.

“What did you just say?” They asked at once.

“You might not know this, but I was the reason Keira had the opportunity of interviewing you, Alpha Drake. Sure, I'm well aware of the fact that she's had a crush on you way before she had the opportunity of interviewing you, but it was all me.

I was the one who assured her to take the opportunity to go over to your birthday party when our boss threatened to lay her off work just in case she doesn't bring exclusive news.”

“Why will that be a reason to do what you did to someone you call your friend?” Alpha Drake asked.

“You're right.
