Sadie
This must be a dream...
Or something. I don’t know. At this point, I am just surprised that my ‘speech’ saved me and Anya and I didn't get beaten up!
After that, The maid, aunt Beth as Anya likes to call her, agreed. The guards were still suspicious about it but seeing how Anya was begging for it, they let it go, but they are still onto me. Although the walk to the back of Anya’s home is short, it felt almost like forever because of the guards. They shoot glares down at me, and I'm like a puppy who’s called a bad dog. It’s a shame I called them small when I am literally smaller than them. Anyways, it's still a dream because after Aunt Beth agreed, Anya turned to me and hugged me.&

8-year old Anya went down the stairs that made her feel smaller--like she’s inside a giant's house, which she loved. She woke up at 2 am feeling thirsty so she went to the kitchen and drank 3 full glasses of water. She was about to go up before her mom might catch her and thought she’s staying up late. Though, she heard two familiar voices outside. She decided to check out. When she approached the glass doors, she saw two of her sisters talking. Beside them are pieces of luggage and bags.“We will jump over that fence” The 17-year-old whispered to the 16-year-old. “We will make a few sounds as possible.”Suddenly, they stopped talking and looked behind them, where the sound of the door slamming came from. “Anya?&
Anya Finally, I’m free Sadie and I are leaning on a hill, both the backpacks down. I’m looking straight at the forest and starting to remember all my memories with my mom, Kade, Aunt Beth, and my sisters. My sisters… “Anya, I know you’re not like them. You’re smart. You may not understand us now but soon you’ll figure it out.” I get it now, what they meant. I caught myself in a cave, but I found myself in a forest to go to--along with someone. I look at Sadie, and I can see her looking at the forest as well, maybe thinking about something like I did. Was she once stuck in a cave as well and escaped through it? Have I helped h
Anya Twigs crunch under our feet as we walk under the tower of trees surrounding us like giants. The leaves stretch out like they created their dome and keep the woodland from the eyes of the sky, which results in us barely seeing anything in this dark forest. Sadie told me that I shouldn’t use flashlights because some residents and security guards might notice and kick us out. I stumble a few times but I redeem myself right away. Sadie decides to walk slowly in front of me so I can walk carefully without worrying that I could lose her. We are walking for, I don’t know, a few MILES and I feel quite tired. I am carrying the heaviest bag on my back which is trying to pull me downwards. “Are we there yet?” “Close,” Sadie said so I kept fighting. Afte
Anya Every twigs and rock that I pass by I tend to pick it up. It wasn’t that hard finding them on the ground. Some sticks are long, some thick, and some have a fresh leaf sticking out from the stem connected to it, while some rocks I found are round and some are flat. I only grab ones that I can pocket in Sadie’s shorts while some sticks I found that can’t fit but are needed are on the ground, being kicked around by me. When I think that I have enough sticks and stones, I proceed to go back to our camping ground, which is not that far here. “Hey,” I said when I’m close to the tent. "I found some sticks stones laying around here. It was quite a lot but I think it's best we are sure we got what we need." Then I noticed that Sadie was nowhere to be found. I kick the sticks forward with me and stop when they are right in front of our green
SadieI watch the flames dance over the decaying bodies of the wood as they slowly turn to ash. The fire cackles as it keeps growing stronger. While I, a human, feel the warmth it gives and helps me not shiver much in this dark cold night. Hmm, it just goes to show that death can have its purpose. And I make sure that mine will be very helpful to those around me.I look up and see Anya just staring at the fire, watching it move like it’s entertaining us at the bar--not gonna lie the way this fire move is so sexy that if it’s a human woman I would fuck it.
Sadie And after that: silence. Again. A-fucking-gain. Anya is just staring at the fire most of the time, and I can sense that the heat of the fire is turning her cheeks red. Is that how nature works? Biology? Well, fuck school. The nature sounds seem calming but I don’t want Anya to feel this uncomfortable I clear my throat. “Look,” I said after gulping down my third bite of smores--I can’t finish them all with my companion feeling…not alright. Finally, I caught her attention with this. “I don’t know if I should ask thisbutI would rather cut off this silence instead of watching poor innocent lives slowly dying for our sake.” She cocks her head to the side and looks at me with fu
Anya I enter the tent with the corners of my cheeks pulled up to a smile, and it just stays there like there’s a pin that holds them in place. This night started with conflict but I am so glad that it did not stay that way. The corny jokes from Sadie got me through the night. After I fix my sleeping bag, I just lay down for a while and smile at the roof of the tent as if they’re the stars or Sadie’s jokes. Or Sadie’s cute face. I push away the thoughts. Please don’t do that,I told myself. Though I hate to admit that her face did make me smile. I look to my side, where Sadie might sleepbeside me…I can feel my cheeks warm.
Sadie Sadie, you can do it. Just jump!I can hear the voices in my head cheer but this one voice of mine disagrees with the rest and is trying to shout louder than the crowds which leaves me a little undecided. You don’t wanna leave Anya there. And It’s true: I don’t. But she knows already. She has my phone and my password, and she’s probably watching them right now. I have to get this over with before she catches me here. Half of my feet are now on the edge of the cliff, as I watch little rocks falling. I can barely see the ground from here—The beautiful trees are almost covering it.Well, at least I
