What do you think of this chapter? Ares mother had committed suicide, and her necklace had been missing at her time of death. Ares had found it somewhere else? What really happened to Ares' mother? And why was the necklace not found on her and in someone else’s room? Did someone take it? and who? Let me know what you think of that in the comment section. Don’t forget to drop a vote too, as much as you can. Seth’s pov is available now so make sure to read it. See you soon, Jane❤️
Alora. I sat in the sitting room, eating what Lana had called popcorn. It was late evening already and the girls had left. Isabel and Raya had brought me downstairs because of my injured ankle but Isabel had said I was going to start walking by tomorrow. Taking another handful of the popcorn, I fixed my eyes on the TV that had some Korean drama about an ugly girl who applies makeup to go to school so she could avoid being bullied. Thankfully, Isabel had said it just came to something called N*****x and there was the English version. So I could watch and understand what was happening. The house was quiet and only the sound of the TV filled my ears, snuggling closer to the pillows. I watched a scene where the guy rejected her gifts and I suddenly felt sad for the girl. Suddenly, the door opened and I immediately scented mist and earth. I had realized I could scent wolves nearby and recognize them. My scars had all healed completely too. There was this weird change in my body but
Ares. Run. Run faster than you’ve ever done! My subconscious screamed at me as I ran away from the house I had lived in and into the woods. Mrs Johnson had called the cops and my mother had said they would take me away. I couldn’t have that and I decided to leave. The thoughts of my mother lying on the cold floor with her warm blood around her filled my head. It was all I could think about and knowing she wasn’t going to wake up again made me so sad, and suddenly running away wasn’t a bad idea anymore. I didn’t know when I had become so good at running, but I had always been the fastest in my class. My good sense of hearing made it very easy to avoid the cops who were hot on my trails. I heard them giving each other directions of where I was heading to. I could smell them from a mile away, knew their movement and avoided every trap they had laid out for me. Soon, after a few hours of running, I was finally out of breath as I found myself in the woods. Looking around, tall
Alora. “Camilla, you have a text from Brandon!” Carmen yelled, rushing into the kitchen to hand Camilla her phone. It wasn’t long the twins came back from school and they decided to come to the estate. It was my first time seeing them since the Hunter’s Ball. Camilla dropped the plates she was rushing as Raya turned to look at us, but Lana ignored us, turning what she was cooking on the stove and I grinned as I drew closer to where Carmen stood. “What does it say?!” Camilla yelled, wiping her wet hands quickly on a towel as she stood beside her sister who grinned knowingly at her. Camilla coughed, looking away as she threw the wet towel on the counter before turning back at us. “I mean. Not that I was excited whatever. Just…” She trailed off, shrugging her shoulders as Carmen burst out in laughter. “Can you stop the tough girl act and just admit that you like him and you were eagerlyyyyy..” Carmen stressed on the eagerly, earning a glare from her sister. “…waiting for his t
Alora. I left the kitchen, limping on my injured feet as I closed the door behind me and left for the sitting room. I could smell Ares and two others who I figured were Seth and Victor. They were talking and when I entered the room, they fell silent. My eyes found Ares first and my heart skipped a beat. Ares was wearing a black three piece suit but his blazers were unbuttoned and I stopped to admire his build before I looked at his face, his hair curled carelessly around his head like he had run his hand through it a lot. His cold blue eyes sparkled just a tiny bit that I thought I didn’t see when he turned to me. “Hi.” I said softly, and I didn’t miss the glare Seth gave me from the corner of the room. Just like Ares he wore a dark blue suit and a tie that hung loosely from his neck rather carelessly. Victor was no different but he was the most neatly dressed out of the three and he sat beside Seth, but his eyes watched me curiously. “What were you doing?” Ares asked, coming
Unknown. I walked down the cold basement. It was dimly lit and the sound of whimpering and crying filled my ears as I took the stairs down. The basement was cold, and only the light from the yellow bulb brightened the room. I stopped at the bottom of the stairs before turning to the person who wafted off power, anger and torment. Jax sat on a chair, his black hair falling around his shoulders covering part of his face, but I could make out splashes of blood on his fair chin as it dribbled to this short. Staining it to a bloody red. In his hand was a short dagger that he played with gently to avoid cutting himself. He rested his elbow against his knees as he stared hard into the dagger as if trying to find answers in them. Answers to what? Where the fuck Alora was! It was no news that Jax had been obsessed with her since they had first met, and she had been stuck with him for years but a few months ago, he had lost her and all hell had broken loose. The last time I saw Jax
Ares. “The west border has been attacked!” Seth said, pushing the door to my door to my office as I slammed shut my laptop hiding the video of Alora and I at the mall a few months ago. Apparently, someone had made a video of us and I knew it was probably one of those high schoolers who were admiring us both. In the video, Alora had been waiting for the cotton candy to get ready while I had helped her pin her hair away from her face as she hopped excitedly, oblivious to me pinning her hair. I didn’t know what the kids had done but a nice song was playing in the video and it made my action much more….romantic? I had stared harder at myself in the video. My eyes weren’t as cold as they used to be and my face was calm. My blue eyes watching Alora softly. Was this how I looked when I stared at her? I shook my head, as I remembered the past few days. I had been acting differently, since we found out Alora wasn’t the spy, something had changed within me. My level of trust in her ha
Alora. I stared at the half moon outside before I looked at my phone. I couldn’t read the time but I knew it was late and Ares should be back home by now. I bit my lips as I sat on my bed and closed my eyes. I imagined Ares here, sitting beside me, his cold blue eyes staring at me void of emotions. Despite Ares' empathetic behavior towards me, something in me had grown dependent on him. And as I stayed alone in the empty house, I thought of him. He slept here everyday alone, ate alone and lived alone. It was lonely. And I felt lonely too. I wanted him here. The past few days have been me working with the girls in the kitchen. Ares comes home after they leave and we either spend the night in the piano room until I grow tired of playing or Ares sleeps off on the couch. And then we went to our separate rooms. A part of me wanted to stay with Ares but I was so shy to tell him after my feet had healed quickly. My phone rang and I jumped at the noise looking down at the scree
Ares. “Are you sure I’ll change to a wolf on a full moon?” I asked the boy who I had met in the forest a few days ago. He was the same age as I was, and we spent the rest of the day hiding in the cave so the pack guards of the Blood Moon Pack wouldn’t find us. “Yep.” Seth answered and I smiled, lying on the rocks that pieces my skin but I didn’t care. The moon glowed above us as the cold ruffled my hair and made me shiver. “We have the ability to change to wolves on a full moon. But that’s until we reach sixteen years old.” Seth said and I turned to him, resting my head on my joined palm as Seth continued to stare at the sky. “What do you think my wolf would look like?” I asked excitedly as Seth sighed and turned to me, his grey eyes blending in the moonlight and his scar at the right side of his face was covered by his black hair. “This is the millionth time you are asking me that.” Seth chuckled and I shrugged before he continued. “You look like a scaredy cat, it would prob
