“You kissed Amber?” Emma asked with a crestfallen expression; her heart felt like it just dropped to her stomach from Amber's confession.

He looked conflicted, but he wasn’t denying it. “She kissed me first? It was a mistake.”

“And How did that happen?” She called trying control her annoyance but it was failing fast.

“..That was before I saw you at the bar that day; like I said, it’s nothing,” he answered, picking up the bouquet he had thrown on the flower and the chocolate.

The mood had gone sour almost immediately, and there was only a bigger silence left. Rowan felt Emma’s hot-holding stare like a drill to the head, but he decided not to speak.

“That’s it?” She called, annoyed, as she folded her hands and came forward.

“As I said, that is it, Emma.”

Emma knew she was being paranoid, but she couldn’t help but feel inferior to Amber. Not only was she beautiful and rich, she was his ex!
