Evidence

The sound of a knock on the windshield made both Emma and Zane look up to see a guy, wearing a black blazer, staring down at them from the window.

Suddenly, they heard footsteps, coming back toward them, and then one of the guys called out, “Terry, what are you doing over there?!”

“I found them.” The guy at the window said.

“Emma, get off me and crawl into the backseat. Stay on the floor, and once I have them distracted, you get back into the driver seat and drive off at full speed. Don't stop afterward.” Zane leaned towards her ear and whispered.

When he locked eyes with her again, he saw that spark of stubbornness beaming in Emma's eyes, and then she said, “I don't know how to drive.”

“Emma,” Zane whispered, knowing that she was lying because she wouldn't dare look into his gaze after those words.

“I don't know how to drive-”

“Okay, move off me first.”

The position they were in was cramped and as Emma lifted off Zane’s body, she accidentally lost her balance and fell back on him,
