Chapter 117

Megan felt some sort of peace when she woke up the next morning, she hadn’t had a good night rest the past few days but now she felt like a heavy weight have been lifted of her shoulders.

She had not yet realised that Alex was no longer on the bed with her, she thought maybe he had let go of her as they slept so she turned hoping to see Alex’s sleeping form on the bed but she was disappointed when she saw the other side of the bed empty.

Megan reaches to Alex’s side of the bed, feeling the the cold sheet, another wave of disappointment and worry had struck her heart for the second time that morning as the sheet felt like Alex had been up a long time ago.

Megan made her way to the bathroom hoping she would see him there but he wasn’t there so she just ended up doing her morning routine as thoughts crossed her mind of being downstairs already, probably helping out with breakfast to surprise her with breakfast in bed.
