It was one thing to be in hell and it was another to have to spend more than half an hour with Ma.

As long as James was concerned, if he was asked to make a choice, he would gladly pick hell. At least, over there no one would be nagging him.

Ma looked around the room, once in a while her brow furrowed in concern for Lorraine and her face would be plastered with curiosity but the moment she opened her mouth, hell again.

"Poor child. I think we should call Ellie, she's the only one who can help us right now," she said finally, breaking the tense silence.

James and Lorraine, who were still sitting on the couch, looked up at her in surprise. "Ellie?" James asked. Lorraine had no idea who the person was but James did. If anyone thinks his grandmother is nonchalant, then the person hasn't met his grandmother's friend, Ellie.
