When Evangelina arrived at the clinic, she was scared, her hands were shaking and her heart was racing. Demetrio Laureti was the only man she had ever loved.

"Massimo, tell me that Demetrio is all right," she said to her father-in-law, who was sitting in the waiting room with his hands on his head, looking at the floor.

"He's out of danger." Eva sighed and felt her soul return to her body at that moment.

"Can I see him?" she asked anxiously.

"Eva, Demetrio suffered an explosion and much of his face was disfigured," Mássimo thought painfully.

Evangelina put her hands to her mouth in surprise. Demetrio was a vain man with his body, who loved to show off his attributes and loved every part of it, and surely seeing himself disfigured would cause him great emotional shock.

Eva noticed a big tear coming out of his eyes; at no time did she think about how she would see him now, she did not care about Demetrio's physical appearance, on the contrary, she cared about his emotional wellbeing. Sh
