Chapter 20: The letter

"What am I supposed to say?"  I paced back and forth a little nervous.  Things like that took me out of what little emotional stability I had left.

-I already told you;  tell him that last week, days before my death, you lent me a Spanish book.  She will let you in my room and there you will look for the letter.

"What if she's not in your room?"  I wanted to know, looking at him.

"My mother may have it in a drawer near her bed."

"Max, it's very risky."

"Forgive me for putting these things through you;  If only I could do it.
