Chapter Seventy

After her conversation with Kelvin, the loyal guard decides to let Naevia eat her dinner and rest. He leaves Naevia alone in the room and goes.

Naevia takes her food in her hand and starts eating. She takes three spoons out of it, but stops halfway.

She started losing her appetite, thinking about Zane. These past days, after their union as a married couple, Naevia has gotten used to eating with Zane.

She felt full and pushed her food aside. She no longer wanted to eat. She drank a glass of water and faced the box belonging to her mother.

Naevia gathered everything together in the box, including the locket and the two papers that fell from it. She placed them in the box and straight under the bed.

Just as she was sitting back to get into bed, she noticed a strange movement at the door. She didn't know that Kelvin hadn't shut the door properly. "Who's there?" She inquired.
