Chapter Sixty

"She's better now. We were able to get the poison out of her system," the Doctor shared with Zane.

Zane felt glad to hear this. His Naevia was saved. "Can I see her?" He requested. The doctor answered, "Yes, but after she's been moved to a special room."

Zane doesn't mind. He wanted to see Naevia badly. The door of the emergency room opened. Zane looked and saw the nurses moving Naevia out from the room on a stretcher.

"Naevia!" Zane called out, moving closer to the nurses that stopped for him to see his wife. Naevia had her eyes closed. But when she heard Zane's voice, she opened them.

Zane was happy when he saw her eyes open. Naevia smiled at Zane and held his hand.

"You'll be fine okay?" He assured her. Naevia nodded lightly. The nurses moved the stretcher ahead, allowing Zane and Naevia hand to separate.

Zane felt his heart aching, seeing Naevia in that condition. Kelvin moved closer to Zane and said, "Thank goodness the poison was taken out of her. She'll be fine."
