Chapter Thirty Four

Naevia's flashback ends. She still had her focus on the ground. Letting out a poor laugh.

"The first person I killed was the same person who trained me to be a strong fighter and shooter. I got to know he was a traitor. He even tried to kill my father. So I ended him right there," Naevia narrated the scene to Zane.

"Is that what got you so down out there?" Zane questioned Naevia. Referring to what occurred with her during the target practice.

Naevia hummed to Zane's question. That was a response to confirm that it's the truth. Zane couldn't say anything else. He just stared at Naevia.

After hearing all these, Zane felt sorry for Naevia. He never knew that her childhood was rough. It reminded him of his own childhood.

Trying not to remember the pain she felt while shooting Felix, the guard who trained her at a tender age, Naevia sighed out and turned to look at Zane.

She found him already gazing at her. She let out a smile and grabbed her glass of pineapple juice.
