CHAPTER FIFTY THREE

I looked away from them and focused on Karis. I heard their voices as Commander Albert dished out orders and they responded. I also missed the last look Achu threw over his shoulders at us before they all leapt out of the van.

My focus was all on Emily, her eyes were closed as she lay on the ground, her breathing was slow and her heart rate was definitely going down. Her blood had soaked through her clothing and now formed a small puddle beside her, she didn't have long if I didn't do anything about it.

I didn't even know what I was supposed to do for her, I knew the practical version of the procedure when it was performed on Emily.
