CHAPTER SIXTY TWO

It was a while before I heard conversations reaching my ear. Karis was talking to someone in the front, so I didn't think twice as I slipped into the house.

It was late and I couldn't see clearly, so I turned on my Alpha mode, it made my sight sharper and clearer. I went through the house as fast as I could, slipping from one room to another.

The huge living room and the chairs on the balcony in the back. The entire ground floor was huge but I was through going from one room to another. I kept one ear out on Karis in the front, listening to their conversations so that I would know when it was time to leave.

I would keep the other ear out for any sudden movement other than mine inside the house.

I went up the stairs as fast as I could, going in and out of the room but it all came up empty.

No one was here.

I was done in no time, but there was no sign of anybody in the house except for the guy out front who really wanted Karis to leave.
