Naive Child

Holding the glass near her lips, Josie carefully sniffed the sweet scene of alcohol coming from the wide glass. She never thought to ever have the chance of having such a luxurious alcohol, much less in a castle.

“Is it your first time drinking alcohol?” Shawn who had been studying her expression asked casually.

Shyly Josie smiled, “I did drink whenever new year arrive but I never had such fragrant alcohol before.”

Shawn chuckled, “Then I’m glad to be able to help you taste one of the luxuries in Essex. Taste it, I’m sure you’ll like it.”

Josie took a mouthful of sip and her eyes widened in sparks as the smooth and sweet raspberry flavor spread over her mouth.

“This is really delicious!” Josie’s cheeks brightened.

Shawn watched as the girl showed no hesitation to drink in front of him. He didn’t know whether to be happy or worried of how naive Josie was. The girl was able to trust the younger brother of the duke that even a blind man would avoid in fear of getting caught in the fight
