"You can stay here for a moment," she uttered. "I-I don't want to shock the kids."

Hunter just nodded. "Can you walk there?"

"I can assist you," Carson volunteered.

Krysie was hesitant but agreed anyway. Her foot is still healing and it will take her longer to walk without aid from someone.

Carson assisted her to step out of the car. She turned to look at Elias and Hunter and both of them are smiling. It's as if telling her that she can do it and they're just right behind her back. And this is not getting good. She's starting to get afraid. It feels like restoring this old connection with them is not good.

"Are you good?" Carson asked while walking. He let her wrap her left arm on his right arm. "You're spacing out while we're walking."

Krysie blinked her eyes only to find out he was right. She smiled tightly and gripped his arm. They continue walking inside the hotel where Margaux is staying. They headed straight to the elevator and waited for the door to open.
