Madison’s POV

Rose didn't even give me the chance to explain myself; she ended the call before I could explain what happened. I know she is hurt but she should have listened to what I had to say at least.

I was trying to explain to Rose but she was too angry to listen to what I had to say. I wouldn't want anything to ruin my friendship with Rose; it would break me.

She was my safe space; I run to her whenever I feel like the world is compressing me; she is always available to talk to me; she is that friend who is closer than a sister.

Growing up, her family wasn't as privileged as mine. We attended the same high school and college but she was on a scholarship program because her parents couldn’t afford the bare minimum. I was closer to Rose than I was to Gem.
