Chapter 10: You're Hurting Me

When I woke up the next morning, I clutched my head when I felt it throbbing in pain. I think the alcohol really did get me last night. After all, I drink a lot more than Renz did and I didn't notice it because we were too busy talking to each other.

I diverted my attention to my phone when it keeps on ringing. I pick it up before checking who the caller is and ended up raising my brows when I saw that it was Renz. I took a quick glance at my clock and saw what the time is before I answered the call.

"Hello, Renz?" I asked while massaging my temple.

"Good morning, Nathalie! Are you going to work today?" Renz's voice sounded so energetic and I grimaced with it. "Hey, you there?" He asked when I didn't answer him.

"Renz..." I called out his name while still grimacing. "Are you a normal person? Don't you know what time it is?"

"Well, ahm.." I heard Renz chuckle on the other line. "Six in the morning?"
