Bad guard
The next morning, Emma woke up surrounded by a warm cocoon.
"Hmm" she snuggled deeper into the warmth.
"Good morning kitten," Luca said from beside her.
"Morning" she mumbled sleepily, without opening her eyes.
Luca slept surprisingly well last night. He is an insomniac. He cannot sleep for more than 4 hours at a time. But last night is the first when he slept for 7 hours straight.
He woke an hour ago. Usually, he would wake up and go to his home gym to work out. But today, he woke up to Emma sleeping almost on top of him. He couldn't bring himself to move her away.
He knows she feels warm sleeping beside him, so he let her sleep there. She is lying upside down on top of him.
Resting her head on his chest, her arms thrown carelessly on either side, her legs between his.
He looked at her innocent-looking face for a long time. He wrapped his arms protectively around her.
