Marie had me on high alert. Her instincts were just as intuitive as my mother's and when Tayo dropped Jazmin and Ainsley off with my father, he confirmed that she was also pacing.
Dahlia was sleeping like the Angel she was, and there would be no part of me waking her if I didn’t have to. She was having problems sleeping since Marcus arrived and I decided to disclose the rest of the situation to her.
With their own mates secured, Tayo and Mato arrived at our room promptly. Tayo was waiting in the shadows of our room with me, an unexpected line of defence should the need arise, and Mato was our heads up, our first line of brute force if necessary.
