Kallan lowered me into front seat of his vehicle and got into the driver's seat, which I found odd, but never questioned. We pulled away from the carnival and Echo was practically purring inside at being alone with Kallan, but I just kept my eyes peeled forwards, unsure she should be so excited. Didn't she know who this was?

I was still in shock, I felt numb and unable to process the full effect of what was happening still. I was travelling away from my home, it's what I always wanted, but now I was surrounded by cruel men, the worst of who, somehow the Moon Goddess had fated me with.
