Chapter 63

I turned to meet Eathen’s smirk, as I took Kal’s arm, and we made our way to the table.

Theo sat across from Kal, I took my seat to Kal's left but was surprised when Eathen sat to my left. Theo's silver eyes weren't straying from Kal, but Troy's face flashed a bit of confusion.

Troy would have sat two seats to Theo's left, placing him across from our Gamma, if we had brought him. He paused briefly before Theo likely linked him, and told him where to sit, which was across from Eathen.

I found it hard not to say anything as my parents sat at the ends of the table. Eathen's amusement was light in the air, and I was trying to piece it together, because this was clearly another attempt at having the upper hand, which was uncalled for here. Sitting this way would show them my hierarchy, without having to say it out loud, as we were all seated on the same side of Kal, and Eathen was after me. But why was Eathen amused?
