The fire can be heard crackling as more wood was added to produce more heat, to melt the wax faster. The sound was accompanied by the clinking of mason jars, being aligned in four single files, the lining was so neat anyone who saw it might be amazed. ‘Wow, who knew Alef is such a perfectionist. I wonder if she has OCD…’ I got side- tracked with my thoughts as I watched the beeswax slowly melt. It was accompanied with occasional stirring, to ensure that there are no clumps or anything, and that it will harden perfectly to the jars. 

I was so focused on staring at the pot that it was seconds before I noticed Alef calling my attention, “Your Grace? Your Grace? Is there anything else that I can do to help?” she asked. I was startled by the sudden call but… I just can’t help but notice how every glass was neatly filed
