It's Time

It means that you also keep everyone else safe and aware using the God given skills that you have.” I felt the familiar stinging behind my eyes causing me to look down at my hands. The next thing I know, I was pulled into one of the tightest hugs that I had felt in a long time. I broke down then, bawling and gasping for breath while hiding my face into my twin brother’s shoulder.

“I’m sorry E. I—I didn’t think of it like that…” I nodded at his hushed words while he slowly rubbed circles on my back. Once I was able to pull myself back together, I sat beside him on the cot until he fell asleep and Koa came to talk to me.
