Ava’s POV

We got back home and I picked up my phone to call my mum and inform her about the party I’d be going to with Mason. She picked up on the third ring and I was nervous.

I told her I’ll be attending a college party with Mason and he’s going to be there to protect me so she doesn’t have to worry. I couldn’t miss the excitement in her voice when she gave me the permission to go.
