For as long as I can remember, my brother Cain has been my biggest focus. I was almost three years old when he was born, but my mom told me I was now a brother. A big brother. I had to take care of my baby bro.

So, I did. And I took my role very seriously.

Growing up, Cain was a fucking menace. He would run too much, cry too much, break a lot of things, he wouldn't listen to the rules or care enough not to break them -That would drive me crazy the most-His hands were always moving, his legs too, he would always forget things. And when he felt something, he would feel it harder than anyone.

So when he started resenting me for whatever he resented me, it was very evident. Cain has never been good at concealing his emotions.

But we never talked about it and one day he just decided to leave. Not just our pack, but the whole country under the council's control.
