Chapter 29: Not my Babies!
Eliza’s heart sunk as her eyes glanced upon Shannon passing by her room in rage. She began to panic, wondering why and what was she doing at the hospital. Everything confused her… she thought she had escape from the miseries of her past life, but it felt like they were coming back to haunt her and mock her, telling her that she could never escape from them.
She tried not to tremble in fear, worried that her babies would get disturbed as well so she took a couple of deep breaths to compose herself and her worried mind. Nurse Christine while scrolling through her phone caught sight of a shocked Eliza and sprang up from the couch, adjusting her nurse uniform.
“Ma’am, is everything ok? What happened?” she asked in concern while holding Eliza’s hand to comfort her.
Eliza turned her head towards Nurse Christine with her eyes popping out of her sockets. “Christine, I don’t know what to do… I’m scared!”
