Chapter 30: Missing her other Half

Christine exceeded her usual speed to get Bailey to safety and help Eleanor too get out of harm’s way. She held Bailey tightly in her arms and covered her face from the bright lights of the hospital. She tried not to make the journey too bumpy, fearing that Bailey would start to cry and cause a scene… thus alerting Shannon.

Once her eyes got a hold of a room, she opened the door and saw the place completely empty. As she sighed in relief, she placed baby Bailey onto a temporary bed that she made on a baby weighing scale. It was lucky that the scale was a lot bigger, removing the fear of Bailey tossing over. Moreover, she was getting sleepy so it was a perfect opportunity for Christine to hurry up and get Eleanor so that she could be attentive and tend to the both of them in the room.

Once she returned to Eliza sneakily, trying to keep an eye out for Shannon, she opened her arms to receive Eleanor.
