Betrayed

Sarah glanced around her as Devlin let go of her wrist to launch on another man. All she saw was blood, people squirming in pain! A shaft of nausea erupted in her stomach. However, the scene of horror was quickly forgotten seconds later. Shivers suddenly invaded her body as a hard, savage voice rang behind her, too close.

''Lucky! Stop right now or I’ll shoot her!'' And then a hard iron hand came across Sarah’s shoulder pulling her against a hard body!

His elbow across her throat, ready to choke. Worst, there was a gun pointed at the side of her head! Sarah swallowed.

She stayed still. Her ability to breathe vanished. Devlin who dropped the half dead man on the ground, turned to face them. He fired a smouldering gaze at Oscar. He took a step toward them but Oscar pushed the gun further in her head. Sarah let out a sudden cry out of terror and lifted both of her hands in surrender. Devlin stopped. He breathed out.

''Don't move!'' Oscar warned Devlin.

''Ah, I warned you not to intrud
