I Need Mom

Fred had just closed from school and decided to wait for his dad who had earlier told him he would he running late. While he was playing around the school compound, he noticed a strange man outside the school gates.

Fred is a smart kid and quickly realized that the strange-looking man was there for a reason.

Fred walked over to the gate without the knowledge of the security to take a good view of the man.

Just then, the gaze of the man who seemed to be looking around the whole place rested on him.

He suddenly moved the corners of his lips in a smile.

"Hey kid," the strange man called and slowly began walking towards him. Fred moved back a bit, but did not run away. He was curious to know who the man was and why he was there at all.

"Who are you?" Fred asked curiously.

"Uhm, my name is Karl, and...I'm here on behalf of your mom."

Fred lit up at the mention of his mom.

"You know my mom?"

"If course...your mom's name is Valerie, am I correct?"

Fred nodded his head in agreement.
