When Jeanette’s mother came into the room, she immediately started to lick her daughter’s wounds.

“What are you doing?” Jeanette asked, confused at her mother’s actions.

“I am healing your wounds,” she said, before licking some more, spitting into a cup, so as to not swallow the blood, and every now and then she gaged.

“Stop, please mom, just go get the first aid kit,” Jeanette said.

“See, all healed up. I can’t do anything about the scars,” her mother said.

“How did you do that? Are you a hybrid?” Jeanette asked.

“Yes, your father forced me to turn. They trapped a vampire and Mateo forced twelve of us to drink him to death,” Jeanette’s mother said.

“Why?” Jeanette asked.

“It is something we were planning for a long time, but it is against the Supernatural law to turn vampires without the Higher Council's permission at a turning Ceremony that either happens every 300 years or 500 years. Vampires are not that easy to capture and hold down, for that you need to somehow trick them
