005 Out Of A Home

Though it was an hour's walk home, Evelyn chose the hike instead of a cab.

She wasn't exactly feeling "homey" at the moment.

She always knew her bio mother didn't love her as much as she loved her switched-at-birth sister, but Evelyn didn't know there was a small part of her that was still hoping Sarah had SOME love for her as well.

At least enough to not willingly send her to death.

Guess that was too luxurious a hope.

She WAS curious why her bio parents suddenly came looking for her a few months ago. After knowing that Evelyn had been an orphan since she was ten, they took her back.

Now she lost even the tiny shred of curiosity. Whatever the reason was, it wasn't because they loved her.

She was still an orphan, through and through.

Tired and melancholy, Evelyn sat down by the curb, staring at the pen in her hand.

The inky fingerprints of Raymond were vivid, laughing in Evelyn's face.

They were the evidence that signed her death warrant -- the evidence that her mother wanted her dead.
