She grabbed my hand and said those three words. They're just words, words I knew she already felt, but hearing them, seeing how deeply she meant it in her eyes, had my insides filling to the brim with pride and joy.

I had no family left in this world but Liam. I loved him with all my heart, always have, but we didn't speak of how we felt. Liam was so closed off to me that I had to take comfort in the small actions he showed me of his love.
