"I'll pretend this conversation didn't occur in the first place, Mr. Stanford!"

Anton couldn't hide his frustration when he heard her response earlier.

"Pretend?!" He grumbled as he dramatically slumped his back at his swivel chair. "Can she really do that? How?"

'Forget it!' He thought. 'At least I'm trying to be nice to her but she refused it.'

"Come in," He uttered without looking up.

"Mr. Stanford," Ashley muttered professionally. "It's time for your brunch appointment with Miss Amber!"

"Cancel it!" He instructed in a firm tone as he assumed signing the documents.

"Pardon, sir?" She seemed to have heard him wrong thus she affirmed.
