"Then does that mean your supporter— Nara, is my family?"

Noah's countenance turned ashen. Jerking his head to my left, he averted my gaze while running his finger on my palm.

"Why?" I asked

Noah let out an exhausting sigh before shifting his attention back to me. He grabbed my hands, squeezing in between his big hands as his eyes rooted on me. He was hesitating, which made me anxious. Whatever he was going to say, I think it wouldn't please me.

"There is something I didn't mention since it's not my place to tell someone's story. Nara is actually an orphan, my dear. As far as I know, she doesn't have relatives."

Immediately I retreated my hands and looked at him with a questioning look. Why would he hold this kind of truth from me? If he had told me sooner, I wouldn't even dare to hope and think that there might be a possibility of founding my mother.

"You could have said it the moment you mentioned her, Noah. All your words during our conversation before seemed useless.
