I'm overthinking things again.
"Oh, I would also give the uniforms tomorrow."
After coach Alfred's announcements, we were dismissed.
"Should we go to McDonald's?"
We were now changing in the clubroom when Mitch asked that with a wide grin on his face. I could accompany him even if I don't like eating that much.
When I was about to answer, I suddenly remembered that I still needed to give Ezra's umbrella back to him. I don't want to wait any longer because the anxiety of not giving it back is stressing me out.
I nodded at him. "But I sti
Thank you for subscribing to this novel! I hope you enjoy every chapters, and I appreciate the gems you'll give us!
I nodded since I didn't even know that my face's flushed. Zaki chuckled, which made me look at him. "I notice that you only talk to Mitch, which makes me wonder if you don't like any of us from the class." He gazes at me, but I grow flustered since I remember his initial question. "Oh, but don't feel pressured to answer my question. It's just thought since you and Mitch are both new here in the academy, I thought I should help you two to get comfortable." I wonder why he's kind to me though? There are no benefits for him since I don't excel in anything. If someone had benefits, that would be me since he's the class monitor and intelligent. Zaki's liked by everyone and the kindest guy in our class.
"Nice!" I was taken aback when Dwight suddenly pulled me closer to them. "I thought I was going to receive that toss! Almost had me there." He said while laughing. "What made you choose Ezra anyway? He keeps on failing before. If it was me, I would be scared to toss to him again." Dwight chuckled as he was about to place his arm around my shoulder, but Ezra pulled him away from me and closer to him. "I-I got distracted when he shouted." They all laughed after I'd answered that. I also saw how Ezra smiled at me even though he must still be awkward with me, and his face was flushed, reaching up to his ears. "Thank
Jackson laughed again because of Mitch's still angry expression. "Calm down, Mina." I raised an eyebrow. "Mina?" Jackson heard me, which caused him to nod. "Mitch Nathaniel." He giggled as he faced Mitch again. "I'm sorry, okay? I'll give you something else." He then sat back on his chair. We heard him rummaging through his bag and the annoyance in Taichi's voice. I don't know what's happening in front of us. That's why I don't understand the reason for Taichi's annoyance. Maybe Jackson's super clumsy that he keeps hitting Taichi with something? Jackson suddenly threw something in our way, which Mitch quickly caught. "I bought that for the two of you." He smiled as he peaked in our
I immediately reeled and pulled the fish out of the water. "Yay! We got it!" Mitch screamed out of joy. "What do you mean 'we'? It's Alexis's catch." Jackson said, which led them to quarrel again, but Mr. Mantovan called us before they could even catch more fish. Since I got one, I automatically won our bet. "Oh right! Did you know that upperclassman from the volleyball team?" Taichi's question piqued my interest. "Which one?" Mitch asked. "That taller one with silky hair that sometimes covers his eyes. He's been taking all the girl's attention because of his cooking skills and handsome face. Even I could fall in love with him." Jackson said as he placed his arm on Taic
I was confused at first, but I'm thankful at the same time for what Ezra did. Even if it was Dwight, I don't want anyone to touch my face without permission. And I don't think I would let anyone touch me even if they ask for permission. Although I don't understand Ezra's purpose for doing that. Dwight laughed. "What was that for?" As he stared at Ezra's face, which looked like it was about to explode. "N-Nothing. Let's just finish this." Ezra averted his gaze and continued cooking our food. The more I watched them, I couldn't help but think that I was thankful for having them in our class since we could eat something delicious. I could already smell the fragrant scent coming from the kitchen.
"That's right. I'm sorry I got you in this situation." My eyes were slowly adjusting to the darkness, and the light above somehow helped me see Ezra a little. I saw how he stood up from the ground and started brushing the dust off his clothes. "Can you stand? I'll help you." Ezra extended his hand and gently pulled me up, but I felt a sharp pain on my leg, which caused me to fall back on the ground while groaning. What is this? Why am I injured all of a sudden? Did I twist my foot before I landed? But isn't this becoming a poorly written teen drama? And am I the protagonist? If this is what I think it is, I would rather be a side character. Wait, why am I even
I gulped after seeing a silhouette on the curtain covering the bed where I was sitting on. It wasn't a silhouette of a woman, but instead, it belonged to a man. And a very tall man, that is.A-A s-serial killer? I know that serial killers would target school trips to go on a killing spree when they're bored, but I didn't expect to experience it firsthand. My heartbeat was getting faster and louder, and I could hear something ringing inside my ears. What if it's a ghost? A ghost that's been haunting this infirmary since the day he died? Maybe he's a student that also had his own school trip here but died. I gulped as I could feel how cold my hands had become.
Ezra pointed to himself as if making sure. “Me? My life mostly revolves around volleyball.” He chuckled as he placed his hand on his chin. “Is that boring? Maybe I should find another hobby.” His eyes look like they disappear whenever he laughs, and it was something I didn’t expect would be something I wanted to see. What’s wrong with me? Why am I having these kinds of thoughts?I was flustered when his eyes met mine and made me avert my gaze. “How about you? How did you end up liking volleyball?” My gaze slowly went back to him after he asked that. “S-Someone important likes it… that’s why I ended up liking it too.” I still couldn’t look at him for longer than a minute. Though my fri
