Chapter:- 40

Damon sat on the floor in front of Clary welcoming his children beside him as they rushed from Ammy and Adom's side to make sure their mommy was okay. Ammy and Adom stood behind Clary's couch and Kat sat in the armchair opposite them all.

"So, Clary," Kat began "How many times has this happened?"

"There have been quite a few, maybe 8 events in the past two weeks. Initially, they weren't so bad but they're getting worse." Clary reached out a hand to clutch Damon for comfort. "Kat if they're only going to get worse, I don't think I can- It hurt so much, I can't go through that again." Tears forming in Clary's eyes as he relived the immense pain she was in just minutes before.

"I understand Clary and I wouldn't ask for you to go through it again. This is quite unusual. Pain such as that should indicate final stages of labor but the contractions weren't stopping at intervals or even over the typical area.
