The next morning, at 5 am I was up to start my day. I brushed my teeth, donned my sports bra and leggings, and grabbed my water bottle before making my way out of the apartment building through the back door.

I jogged about a mile to a nearby forest behind the apartment and stripped behind a tree. After hiding my clothes in a tree, I shifted.

And when my paws smacked the grassy ground, I ran into the forest. The cool morning breeze was invigorating. The gentle whistling of the wind was the sound that calmed my nerves and cleared my scattered thoughts to a state of relaxation.

The endless rows of trees drew me deeper and deeper into the woods and I only stopped when the gushing sound of the flowing river came to me. There, I sat down by the riverside, stared at my reflection, and admired the morning sky.
