ALPHA STEVEN POV
Silvo turned white and shut his mouth with a snap. I turned and gestured to the warriors I knew were back there, watching and waiting for my signal. After a moment, they escorted Katie and her mother onto the arena floor. Their voices of protest filled the air.
“Silence!” another Councilmember boomed. It was Elder Trey, the second longest standing elder. I didn’t particularly care for him; he tended to be harsh, but the women obeyed him immediately.
“I am assuming it is okay for me to begin presenting the findings of my investigation now that the drama is over?” I asked Elder Johan. He was most definitely amused, and he was having issues controlling the smile on his face. He nodded, not trusting his voice.

IZZY POV The move was well timed and was almost successful. Silvo leaped from the center of the stadium floor, shifting midair. ETHAN POV I got Izzy home and took her up to our bedroom. She was moving like a sleepy little girl, and I realized that she was just drained, emotionally and physically. CALEB POVWe held the Funeral Rite for the fallen the next night, as was customary. Izzy was part of the procession that carried Stella to the lake. There was no lack of volunteers to help her. As devastating as this last battle was, the townspeople saw her true love for the Pack and any remaining resentment on their part disappeared.
