AURORA'S POV

I could feel a crippling sense of anxiety taking over my senses. I had no idea what was going on, but all I could feel was the fear of being killed. Out of impulse, following a sudden flush of energy that coursed through my entire body, I yelled at the top of my voice.

"No! No!! Don't kill me!!"

My eyes flung open at the same time to be met with three pairs of eyes that stared back at me. I was torn between two sides of curiosity. Firstly, why did I scream the plea not to be killed? And secondly, who the heck were these people standing before me?

They said nothing. They simply exchanged looks and stared at me even more. I was like a specimen that was being studied by three researchers.

"Who… are you people?" I asked, my voice was quaky and full of anxiety.

No response came. Their gazes had the same intensity. Looking at all three, I could place a bet on my most valuable asset that they were brothers. Not just brothers but triplet brothers. They had a striking resemblance.

However, they differed in their personalities from what could be seen from their physical features. Two were standing while the other sat on a chair with his left hand gently caressing his jawline. I was still moping around in my state of confusion when he stood up.

His eyes were dark green and piercing. The look in his eyes felt as if he was staring deep into my soul. He was tall and well-built.

The t-shirt he had on him was well locked around his arms. His hair was black and short. With every step he took towards me, I found myself wondering what it would be like for him to lock me in his arms. There would be no breaking free from it.

Or….was he going to try to strangle me? My eyes widened in terror. This had to be the reason I screamed that they shouldn't kill me.

"Who sent you?" He asked. When he spoke, his voice was soft but carried the energy of a thousand troops. Such a person would readily kill while still keeping his composure.

But his question was strange. Who sent me? I had no idea what he was trying to say.

"I… I.. don't understand," I replied to him, still confused and trying to figure out the situation.

For the first time, I tried to make a move. I moved my hands, only to be greeted by the rattling of metals. Both hands were chained respectively to opposite poles while I sat on a chair. I was a captive, their captive! I moved my head to glance at my legs. They were chained together. Damn it! What did I get myself into?

"I will ask again," the dude said. "Who sent you?"

The question was foreign to my thoughts. I had no idea how and why I was there. They were the ones to give me the answers to the questions in my head. Though already confused by a lot of things, I still wondered why he had a mask covering a part of his face from the area slightly above his nose to the regions below.

I shook my head nervously. "I don't know what you are talking about."

He chuckled lightly and turned to his brothers. "She said she doesn't know what I'm talking about."

He returned to his chair. The look in his eyes didn't flinch for a split second. "Kaidon, why not give her a try?"

Kaidon? Which of them was Kaidon? As I was observing, one of them chuckled and said, "Of course, I will."

That had to be Kaidon. He had an athletic body with hair strands that were shaped like spikes. He looked irresponsible among the three. And from all indications, it felt like he was a playboy.

"Okay, stray girl, let's have some fun," he said in a chatty tone. His voice was inviting but it didn't by any means rule out the aura he shared with his brothers.

He grabbed a chair and sat in front of me. His eyes were hazel. He winked at me and drew closer.

"You don't look bad up close, you know," he said in a flirty tone.

He grabbed my jaw and scanned my face. "Okay, I don't eat people. Well, I do in a way." He chuckled. "If you would let me, I would eat you up from down there."

I was right. That had to be irresponsible folk.

"Be a bit serious, Kaidon," the one who hadn't spoken said.

"Relax, Keiran. Let me do my part," he replied and focused on me again. "You can be free," he said in a low whisper. "But you have to tell the truth. If it's not pleasant, you could simply offer us what you have in between those legs."

I felt disgusted by the words. What did they want from me? I already told them what they needed to know. I equally needed answers.

"I already told you what I know," I replied. "Who are you people? How did I get here?"

Without warning, the one called Keiran walked to me and grabbed me by the neck, lifting me from the chair in a forceful manner. His eyes were very mean and had a demonic glare. Those gray eyes of his had some sort of darkness hidden behind them. He gnashed his teeth as he stared deep into my eyes. Just looking back at him, I could feel the grip of fear all over me.

"Do you think this is some sort of joke?" He asked and smiled wryly. "Do I have to break all your bones before you tell the truth? Tell me the truth, who are you? Who sent you?"

At this point, I didn't know what to answer. They were demanding the truth from me. I already told them the truth. They were the ones owing me explanations. I found myself in their midst for a reason I could not place my hands on. Who were they and where was I?

"I… don't know what you are talking about," I stood my ground. There was nothing else to say. Saying someone sent me would entail revealing who the person was.

"Tough girl, huh? Maybe I should just rip your head off your shoulder to get the answer I need."

"Keiran, hold on," the first dude cut in.

"Damn it, Kai! Let me teach this bitch what being tough means."

Kai. His name was Kai.

"Not so fast," Kai said calmly.

I was slightly hopeful. Although he had the aura of his brothers, I felt the most secure when he was talking to me. He got up from his chair and paced a while. Keiran let go of me but his eyes never left my body. On the other hand, the flirty one had his eyes all over my body with his tongue sliding from one corner to the other of his lips.

"You are from the moonlight, are you not?" Kai asked me.

Moonlight pack… I didn't even know the name.

I shook my head. "I don't know," I replied.

"This bitch is a fucking spy!" Keiran fired.

"A sexually attractive spy," Kaidon chipped in.

Kai stopped pacing and looked steadily at me. "You don't know. Are you trying to be tough?"

How was I to let them understand that I was being honest?

"I don't know where that is…and.. and I have no idea where I am from. I don't know how I got here."

Kaidon grabbed my jaw softly and said in a low whisper, "Cheap lies, bitch."

"What is your name?" Keiran dropped another question.

My name… I scanned my head for an answer but could not find any. In that instant, I knew all hope was lost. They would not come to terms with this. Drops of tears began to form in my eyes.

"I… I… don't know my name."

As if planned, they simultaneously laughed at me. At that point, it became very obvious to me that I was not making it out alive. They would deal with me in a way that I didn't want to be dealt with.

"She's a spy," Kai said.

When I heard him say that, I felt pain. I thought I was slightly safe with him.

"Let the guards bring her head to us," Kaidon cut in.

"No!" Keiran protested. "We'll deal with her with our own hands."

"Please, don't kill me," I pleaded.

They unchained me. And in a jiffy, Kaidon hoisted me off the ground and strode off, slapping my ass as he walked. After a couple of minutes, we arrived in an open field where he dropped me off. The three gathered around me and flashed their claws.

"Please, don't… spare my life. I'm not a spy."

They weren't flustered. My pleas fell on deaf ears. They were almost about to cut my throat when there was a rumble.

A blinding light flashed through the sky followed by a tumultuous thunder. The three brothers fell to the ground. Maybe the moon goddess had come to my rescue. I got up and shakily retraced my steps from them.

Thick growls began to escape their breaths. Just when I made up my mind to escape, they got up to their feet and stared intently at me.

Was I damned? When they spoke, it happened simultaneously.

"Mate!!" Their voices echoed.

I knew it! I was damned.
