Uncomfortable

Jake looked at her to see she was smitten by his looks, Sophia finally regained her demeanor and cleared her throat,"I'm extremely sorry sir, he's a toxic ex who won't let me go except I show him proof that I have moved on, that's why I kissed you but I had no idea he would pounce on you. Jake nodded his head understanding her situation,"It's okay, I hope he won't come back though, by the looks of it, he still likes you". Sophia scoffed,"He doesn't like me, probably just want to use me as a punching bag again" She instantly went silent when she realized she might have said too much. An uncomfortable silence enveloped them, Jake didn't need to hear that last part, Jake cleared his throat breaking the silence,"I am Jake Elrod and you are?" Sophia smiled,"I am Sophia Anderson, nice to meet you sir and thank you again". Jake nodded,"You are welcome, oh and for the record, you are a great kisser" he winked at her as he left that place. Sophia blushed at his words.
