Cassandra's POV

I sat on my chair in my office deep in thought about what I was going to do with Mason. Why was he so much smarter than a child of his age ought to be? How come his little head could house these kind of thoughts?

"Cassandra!" A voice jarred me as the door of my office hurriedly opened and closed.

I immediately looked up only to see Sonia placing her bottom on the nearest chair to the door. It had to be lunch time as that was when she usually came over everyday to see me.

"Why are you looking at me that way? What is bothering you?"

"Why would you think something is bothering me?" I asked, feigning a smile and she cocked an eyebrow at me.

"It's not working. Just spill the details."

"It's my child," I sighed.

"Which of them?"

"The second, Mason."

"Ooh, the one who doesn't like people," she muttered and I glared at her.
