Sion Assassins

Chapter 8

"Summon my sword," Zane ordered her and his sword was summoned into his hand.

"I'll take care of him," Zane said as he ran toward the covered person.

They clashed swords for 2 swings. And the person threw a huge slash and Zane's sword was gripped out of his hand flying.

The person was about to perform a killing blow, and Zane just closed his eyes as he was in big danger.

Zane didn't feel the pain after a few seconds. And he opened his eyes, to his surprise, Clarisse was defending her and was fighting the attacker.

"Lucia, by the treeline! There are 2 other assassins!" He yelled as he points at the location of the other two people.

"Help her, I'll handle this," Clarisse said, and she then broke of engagement against the person in front of her.

"Fire Stream!" Lucia shouts, and a huge fire streak came out of her staff and burned the tree.

The person jumped out of the tree line and ran towards Lucia and tried attacking her. Zane catches the attack with his bare hands, and on his other hand, a broken small bottle can be seen.

The assassin backs off, "not too bad for a hero. None has blocked a blow from me like that."

The assassin sprinted towards the two again, "Glacier Style! Glaze!" Lucia performed the spell. and temporarily blocks the assassin's path.

The other person jumped out of the tree and attacked Zane, all the three of them were occupied one person each.

Clarisse clashes swords with her opponent, both casting one spell after another to attack furiously.

"Elemental Control!" Clarisse shouted and her sword turns into a red burning flame. "Phoenix Disintegration!" A Phoenix figure appeared of her sword as it flies towards her enemy.

"Ice Breath!" The assassin took a big inhale and exhaled sending freezing ice towards the Phoenix.

The Phoenix from Clarisse isn't affected by this spell and flies past it. The assassin blocks the attack.

The assassin blinked, and before he realized it. Clarisse appeared in front of him, "Tendo! Devastating Blow," Clarisse punches the assassin and the person was sent flying.

The two continue to fight. Both of them showed no exhaustion as they exchanged sword swings and blows.

Lucia and her opponent exchange blows and Lucia blocks with her hard unbreakable staff.

"Flamai!, Iceo!" Lucia's staff float in between her arms as she points them towards the assassin, a flame and semi-frozen water appeared and a mist was created.

The assassin couldn't see and just run in Lucia's general direction. When the person got out of the mist, the assassin sees Lucia.

"Control! Knife set," and 6 daggers flew out the person's pocket and fly toward Lucia.

"Protection!" A barrier appeared in time to block all daggers from getting to Lucia.

The person immediately runs to Lucia to catch her off guard while she recovers and prepares to attack. The person covered the area fast enough that Lucia didn't have time to react.

The person thrusts a dagger at Lucia… But was blocked by Zane. Lucia looks at Zane and sees he is still there and quickly looks beside her, and sees another Zane.

"Protection Dome: Monesy Gate!" A small protection dome appeared around her… "Explosion: Execution of Light!" the ground cracked under Lucia's opponent. And a few moments after, exploded harshly.

Zane looks very briefly at Lucia and sees the crater by the explosion. He quickly turned his attention to his opponent, and charges in barehanded, and started throwing wide-open punches.

"I'm competing with Clarisse here to prove who's better at fighting right now. Lucia already took down her opponent.

His opponent easily dodges his punches, but he threw punches consecutively without showing any signs of slowing down, and his opponents couldn’t find an opening.

Clarisse found an opening between her opponent’s block. "Krix Technique! Wind Sword," along with her sword already burning. The wind sword was generated that fused with her normal sword, tripled the heat, and damage ofo Clarisse's sword.

She thrusts into her opponent, and the person tried defending. The sword just melted and went straight through, and before she could hit the person.

The person vanished into thin air as if someone teleported it back into someplace.

"Phoeno Punch," he shouted and a small burst of fire engulfed his fingers for a second as he punched, and his opponent dropped hard.

As he was about to deliver the final blow, his opponent disappeared into thin air… like Clarisse’s opponent.

Lucia saw both Zane and Clarisse’s opponent disappear. She walks towards the deep crater she created and sees that her opponent is still in there, unconscious.

“My opponent didn’t teleport, maybe you can get him out the crater,” Lucia suggested.

Zane looks at Clarisse. “Why are you here?”

Clarisse starts to pick up the daggers the enemy used against Lucia. “Are you alright?”

Zane was enraged and walked toward Clarisse and pushed her to face him, while he puts his right hand up, ready to deliver a big blow.

“Huelo!” and Zane’s hand becomes a huge block of frozen ice, and he drops his fist violently.

“Stop it! This wouldn’t solve the problem. Let Clarisse explain her case,” Lucia forced Zane.

Zane calms down immediately, “I don’t want her explanation, I’ve made up my mind. And I would not apologize, it’s not my fault.”

Clarisse looks at Zane menacingly, “I just happen to pass by. I saw Lucia in trouble, it’s not bad to help a friend.” she bluntly said.

“You two, we’re a team here we should help each other,” Lucia begs Zane and Clarisse.

Zane walks in front of the crater made by Lucia, he jumped in and grabs the assassin out. “I’ll take this guy and bring him to somewhere.”

Clarisse proceeds to continue picking up the daggers, and when she picked up the last one she sees a symbol. She was shocked to see the name, “Sion Assasins ?” she mumbled.

“Sion Assasins? That myth about a group of world refined assassins?” Lucia walks beside Clarisse and see’s the name of the group on the dagger.

Zane was intrigued, and grabbed one of the daggers on the floor, “Is this group a threat? I’m sure it’s not if they couldn’t kill us.”

Clarisse puts all the daggers on the back of their carriage. Zane was confused and followed her. She turns around. “This group is no normal group of people, they are a myth. Apparently, they are real from what we see.”

“What do you suggest we do? If they get in my way, I for sure will kill them if they ambush me again,” Zane menacingly proclaimed.

“Follow us if you want,  you’re not allowed inside my carriage or near Lucia. The only reason I’m allowing you is for her sake,” he added.

Clarisse mounted her horse immediately. And they continued traveling back to Nigespear as fast as they can.

“I don’t care hero, let’s go!” she said bluntly, and she took the lead in front of the carriage.
